I am eating meatfree since a month,
because lately I started realising that everytime there was a piece of meat on my plate,
it was a dead animal.
I'm still searching for a good balance between all those nutrients.
In Gent there is this project to encourage all the inhabitants to eat vegeterian on thursday.
Only one day of avoiding meat is a big difference for the lives animals.
My biggest point is that most of the slaughtered animals have not have a worthy live and have been killed cruelly.
If you had to kill the animals yourself, I bet your appetite would dissapear.
I wish people are aware of that.
In my opinion, if you really like meat, eat biological cultivated meat.
But with an awareness that it's an aminal killed for your appetite.
Let my words be supported by the words of one of the world's best writers, Leo Tolstoj:
"A man can live and be healthy without killing animals for food;
therefore, if he eats meat,
he participates in taking animal life merely for the sake of his appetite."
And Albert Einstein!
"Vegetarian food leaves a deep impression on our nature.
If the whole world adopts vegetarianism, i
t can change the destiny of humankind."
Leonardo... Leonardo da Vinci...
"I have from an early age abjured the use of meat,
and the time will come
when men such as I
will look upon the murder of animals
as they now look upon the murder of men."
The last one I citate is George Bernard Shaw
"Animals are my friends...and I don't eat my friends."
If you know good recipes,
any advice about what important,
very welcome!
Have a beautiful day.
